1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to this website, including the live demo (“the Site”), and to downloading the Questly desktop app (“the App”) from it or from the project's GitHub page. They're an agreement between you and the Questly project, the people who maintain https://github.com/svyixiu/questly (“we”, “us”). By using the Site or downloading the App, you agree to these Terms and to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use them.
2. What we offer
The Site describes Questly, lets you try its interface in your browser with simulated data, and links to downloads of the App and its source code. It's all free. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time.
3. Who can use Questly
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use Discord where you live if that's higher, and able to agree to these Terms. If you use Questly for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these Terms for it.
4. The software license
The App's source code is licensed under the MIT License. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights the MIT License gives you; where they overlap on the source code, the MIT License applies. Third-party components keep their own licenses, listed on the Licenses page.
5. Discord and other services
Questly isn't made by, affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own terms, and using Questly may break them (see the Terms of Use). The Site relies on Vercel for hosting and GitHub for code and downloads; their own terms apply to those services and we're not responsible for them. Game names and icons belong to their owners and are shown only to identify games.
6. Acceptable use of the Site
Please don't:
- try to break into, overload, disrupt or scan the Site or the services it runs on;
- use the Site to spread malware or to trick people;
- offer modified versions of Questly as if they were official Questly downloads. The MIT License lets you change and share the code, but please give your version a different name and make clear it isn't ours.
7. No warranty
The Site and the App are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that they'll be available, error-free, secure, or work with Discord at all. Discord can change how games and quests are detected at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Questly project and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of accounts, quest rewards, data, profits or goodwill, arising from the Site or the App, even if we were told such damage was possible. This includes any action Discord takes against your account. Because Questly is free, to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to zero. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
9. Your responsibility
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover the Questly project and its contributors against claims, losses and costs that come from your use of the App or the Site, or from your breaking these Terms or anyone else's terms, including Discord's.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be mentioned in the release notes. Using the Site or the App after a change means you accept the new Terms.
11. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where the Questly maintainers are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
